So the Past weekend I was able to get to my Home opener game of the Toronto FC of the MLS.
The atmosphere was suds mixed with excitement at the prospect of
our third year as a franchise in the MLS. Expectations are for the play offs, and well I think this is where we will see if coach Carver and the squad, including notables like De Rasario, Brennan, and Guevera are prepared for these new fan expectations with less patience on quality games.
From my vantage point at the South West corner of BMO Field it seemed as though they were trying to be to cute with passes through the middle instead of having the wind help with hard strikes towards the net. To no avail though this was not the case and Seattle was able to come out with the win on this day.
I must say Ljunberg was quite good and definitely acquired the respect from the “banana” ref during the game.
I will be back in section 118 next week end on April 11 to see how they do against FC Dallas at BMO field.
