Debate Goes On! Crosby or Ovechkin?

I mean it's a valid question!
If you had to start a new team would you
rather have Alexander Ovechkin of the Washington Capitals, Or Sidney Crosby of the
Pittsburgh Penguins. there's no simple answer. Both are 100 point getters, both can score at a whim, and both bring the play of their team up, Both will sell seats, both are interesting on camera.
Although all of the above statements work for these two stars, they are not equal in said categories! Ovechkin without a doubt has been the more prolific scorer (click link for stats). Edge Alex Oveckin
This is not anything against Crosby, but Crosby tends to pass alot more which in turn raises the bar for him on improving the impact on his team mates stats as well, where Ovechkin doesn't have the assists like Crosby!
As for putting bums during the regular season in the seats I believe Ovechkin has the edge as he tends to make the highlights more often with incredible goals. although if Pittsburgh wins tonight that would mean Sidney Crosby has brought his team further in the playoffs then Ovechkin has. Remember Crosby has seen a Stanley Cup Final, where as Ovechkin has yet to bring his team there. So, Longer season = more bums = edge Crosby.
Now who is better in front of the camera? Sidney Crosby is that small town Canadian boy who is very polite when interviewed (which is good), but Alex Ovechkin is way more animated, and can create more of an response when said interview is done. Therefore I would say they are the Ying and Yang of this category and even each other out. As Crosby will never say anything to create bad press for the game, and Ovechkin may do this but, hey bad press is good press right!
My final analysis: I would go with Crosby he's the one who would create a consistent showing into the play offs due to his style of play. Ovechkin is a very close second, but I think his style of play limits his potential longevity to stay healthy therefore hurting his team. AHHH! and I'm a huge Wendel Clark fan so believe me that was hard to say!
It's hard to say because he hits hard and lifts his team up with those hits just like Wendel baby, but Wendel lost games due to this style.
