Rebuilding or just a BAD RENO for Leafs Nation

The Toronto Maple Leafs played the New York Rangers tonight!

This game ended in a 7 2 loss for the Toronto Maple Leafs and one has to wonder if the leafs have made the proper moves to create a good foundation for  this once storied franchise.

In the off season Brian Burke added what has already been publicised many times the so called sturdy and strong! which one would think would be a strong building set up! So far Komisarek, Beauchemin, and Orr have yet to provide a sturdy 'foundation'.

So far the new additions of Stallburg, and Gustavson have both been injured with less than 5 games into the season! and with Toskala playing the way he is we are not looking good in goal at all!Vesa-Toskala-8x10-N32692_S

So yes, Leafs Nation is watching for Phil Kessel, but are they prepared to realize that this team is so far away from creating a solid foundation for his return that he may not even make a real impact and with first round picks already gone have the Leafs gone too far to be considered  in a rebuild period ,or are they just in a period of bad renovation with no end in sight!
